Commonwealth Games!

At the beginning of this term room 8 learnt about the Commonwealth Games for Topic. A research activity that we completed in pairs was to find information about a Commonwealth games sport and an athlete from New Zealand who competed in that sport. We found out a lot interesting information about our athletes like; how old they were, where they were born and how many medals they had won in their life time. Once we had collected all of our information we had to neatly display it all on an A3 piece of paper, like a poster. Once we had all finished our posters Whaea Ata marked them and the winners were given a prize. The pair that neatly displayed the best amount of information was Gemini and Ripeka. Unfortunately, Ripeka was absent when this photo was taken but she still won a prize as well. She also presented her work to Mrs Dawson. An excellent effort Gemini and Ripeka, you both worked really hard!
